How to create new opportunity in COMODO-CRM (Customer Relationship Management)

Introduction:
Leads which have developed into a potential sale for the company should be converted to an 'Opportunity'. The 'Opportunity' interface will helps the sales to enhance. It helps to keep track of sales process, success of marketing efforts, to devise the strategy to follow up the prospective customers who are most likely to successfully complete a sale. It can also add potential sales to the sales pipeline.

You can create a new opportunity by two ways:

i) To Create a new opportunity record

ii) To Create a quick opportunity record

i) To create a new opportunity record:

Step 1: In the COMODO-ONE portal click "New Opportunity". It will direct you to the COMODO-CRM (Customer Relationship Management).

Note: If you are using this new feature for the very first time, it will direct you to the store to enable COMODO-CRM (Customer Relationship Management).

Step 2: The 'Create New Opportunity' screen will appear. Left hand menu contains the following parameters:

Opportunities List - It shows all opportunities added to the CRM. Click any opportunity to open its details page.

Dashboard - It shows key information about ongoing opportunities

Recently Modified - It lists the opportunities which were recently updated.

Provide the following details to create the new opportunity and finally click "Save".

Opportunities Details:

Opportunity Name

 Provide the name of the opportunity. This field is mandatory.

Organization Name

Choose the customer organization to which the opportunity belongs. You can type an organization name, or click the '+' icon to create a new organization, or click the search icon to browse existing organizations.

Contact Name

You can type a contact name, or click the '+' icon to add a new contact, or click the search icon to browse existing contacts.

Amount

Provide the amount that can be expected after closing the deal.

Type

Select 'New Business' - if this is the first sales opportunity with the organisation or contact.

Select 'Existing Business' - if you have worked with the organisation or contact before.

Expected Close Date

Select the expected close date. This field is mandatory.

Lead Source

Select the channel through which the opportunity was acquired. 

Next Step

Specify the next step that should be taken towards completing the sale. You can also use the 'Description' field to add a more detailed flow if required.

Assigned To

Select the name of the staff member to whom the deal is assigned. This field is mandatory.

Sales Stage

Select the current status of the opportunity in your sales flow. This field is mandatory.

Campaign Source

Select the campaign related to the deal. You can click the '+' icon to use quick create option to add the campaign or click the lens icon to populate a value automatically.

Probability

Provide the % chance of closing the opportunity.

Description Details:

Enter any information and directions you would like to add about opportunity

Finally, click the "Save" button to create a new opportunity in COMODO-CRM  (Customer Relationship Management).

ii) To Create a quick opportunity record:

Step 1: To create a quick opportunity record click '+' button at the top right from any interface of CRM and choose 'Opportunity' from the options.

Step 2: The "Quick Create Opportunity" screen will appear. Provide the following details and click the "Save" button.

Opportunity Name

Specify the name of the opportunity. This field is mandatory.

Organization Name

Choose the customer organization to which the opportunity belongs. You can type an organization name, or click the '+' icon to create a new organization, or click the search icon to browse existing organizations.

Amount

Specify the amount that can be expected after closing the deal.

Expected Close Date

Specify or select the expected close date. This field is mandatory.

Assigned To

Select the name of the staff member to whom the deal is assigned. This field is mandatory.

Sales Stage

Select the current status of the opportunity in your sales flow. This field is mandatory.

 

Finally, click the "Save" button to create a new opportunity in COMODO-CRM  (Customer Relationship Management).
